The Anderson Farm Museum occupies a 14-acre site which has been used for a variety of events, large and small, including carnivals, fairs, concerts, weddings, picnics and family reunions.
Those holding outdoor events at the museum have favoured the use of the central courtyard area of the site, surrounded on three sides by the museum’s historic and reconstructed historic buildings, as well as the area behind the Stable.

Rates for Individuals, Community Groups, Non-Profit Events
1) Monday - Thursday - $132 (HST included) + $20 refundable key deposit
2) Friday - Sunday Half Day (up to 4 hours) - $132 (HST included) + $20 refundable key deposit
3) Friday - Sunday Full Day (4 hours +) - $203 (HST included) + $20 refundable key deposit. $20 key deposit can be paid by cheque or cash only.
Rates for For-Profit Events
1) Monday - Thursday - $1,093 (HST included) + $20 refundable key deposit
2) Friday - Sunday Half Day (up to 5 hours) - $1,093 (HST included) + $20 refundable key deposit
3) Friday - Sunday Full Day (4 + hours) - $1,639 (HST included) + $20 refundable key deposit. $20 key deposit can be paid by cheque or cash only.
There is also a liability insurance fee starting at $40.00 for events, which may be higher depending on the activities taking place during the booking and the number of attendees.

Groups with their own liability insurance above $2,000,000 may provide proof of this insurance, showing the City of Greater Sudbury as an extra insured, in order to have the insurance fee waived.

There is no cost for taking photographs on the grounds of the Anderson Farm Museum, however there are some rules that need to be followed. 1. Please do not climb on any historical buildings, equipment, or structures on site. 2. Please do not sit on the porch railing of the Creighton Log Cabin. The building is over 100 years old and was moved to the museum from the ghost town of Creighton Mine, so there’s definitely no replacement for it, and we would like to preserve it for as long as possible! 3. We don’t ask a fee, but we do request that people tag us if they share the photos on social media or just share some on our page! We’re @AndersonFarmMuseum on Facebook and Instagram and @CGSMuseums on Twitter (also #AndersonFarmMuseum can be used too!). 4. The site is covered by the Parks By-Law, so the rules set out in that by-law must be followed as well. Here are some of the highlights: no smoking or alcohol is permitted on site, no vehicles are allowed on site except for on the main paths, please clean up after any pets along for the ride (who should be on leashes) and the hours of the grounds are from 6AM-11PM.
